Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Missionary Society

The primary purpose of our Missionary Department is to help support 12 missionaries though World Gospel Mission in Africa, Bolivia, El Salvador, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, Uganda, Ukraine and Arizona.  Also Many Waters Mission in New Mexico ministers to various American Indian tribes overseen by Don and Lynn Cartwright, who grew up as members of Brown Road Community Church.  Financial support for the missionary work above is accomplished primarily through two rummage sales each year (one in May and the other in October). Click HERE for more information about the Missionary Society.

Please contact Latisha Graham if you are interested in helping and in great fellowship.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for Pastor Barker, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study. If you would like to join the Prayer Team, please see Jason Roberts. The Prayer Team meets Sunday mornings at 10:40am.

Children’s Ministry

We equip our kids to stand firm and God’s Word and to learn the Greatest Commandment to love God and love others in a safe and fun environment. Click HERE for schedule and more information.
If you ware interested in serving in the Nursery, please contact Marti Fleming. If you are interested in serving in Sunday School, Junior Church or The Rock, please contact Chara Calendine.

Youth Ministry

Identity Youth Group meets Sunday Mornings at 10am and Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Our goal is to lead the young people at BRCC to discover the truth as revealed in scripture and to assist them in fulfilling 1 Peter 3:15. but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;

Praise and Worship Team

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
